Updates

Greetings!

January has been a busy month at the Mission with course room attendance at its highest ever range.  We stepped up promotion to the general public and we're seeing the effects in the form of increased calls and walk-ins.  Our exciting online promotion campaign has just about all the pieces in place and you'll be hearing about that in the next few weeks.

Even with all this increased traffic, we still have room for those of you who haven't finished your Basics!  If you know someone who hasn't begun, bring them, too!  We want to see all of our Boulder field winning with this amazing knowledge.

Change for Change!
We are looking for donations to help ship books to our Missions in Nepal and the Philippines.  Any size donation will help, including the change in your pocket!  If you can help out, let Robert know.

The Philippines Mission has just rolled out their first Purificaton Rundown completion and here's her Success Story:

Before the Purification Rundown, I had a history of long and extreme radiation and chemical exposure from machines, ultraviolet rays, infrared, paints, printing and cleaning agents when I was working in the electronics manufacturing company. I also underwent many teeth extraction procedures. And during my teenage years I had experienced a strange skin allergy which has haunted me for ages.

My medical drug history had been very light but the gains were truly remarkable. The skin allergy in my fingers and toes were cured. A coin-sized lump at my nape disappeared in no time. My sweat released a familiar smell of chemical substances like toluene and ethanol. The rice like small lump on my neck became much smaller.

One of the best and surprising results of the program was the appearance of grain like white and black substances coming out from my pores noticeably on my two arms, back and legs. I never knew how my perceptions were affected by the toxins until I flushed them out of my system.

The constant feeling of tiredness and listlessness is now gone.

I feel generally alert, my senses are sharpened, my skin cleared considerably and my reaction time markedly improved.

I regained my ability for good communication and affinity for my dynamics (especially for my second dynamic).

There had been moments on this program when I felt exhilaration and amazingly I have now a sense of humor.

Now, I don't get upset as much as I used to and I can think more rationally.

The calmness of my body radiates from inside and out. I never expected that the program would deliver these remarkable results. I am thankful that it has changed me into a beautiful person.

My gratitude to LRH  and my I/C and LRH.  R.B.

L Ron Hubbard's books are in libraries all around the world. Here's a letter from someone who found

"...a couple of thick books by L Ron Hubbard that talk about the power of the mind over the body, Scientology, and other similar things.

I read the introduction and I perceived that this was going to be a different book, a book which would 'stick' me to its pages for the day and leave me with something and so it was. For the first time I found the answers that I was looking for since some time, to actually say the truth I found many answers, conclusions that I had somehow thought about myself in regards to situations, things that no-one has ever told me before and that I never read about anywhere...."

Good news! Delivery of the Purification Rundown has begun at our sister Mission in the Philippines! In case you aren't aware, the country is a major exporter of meth-amphetamines to the rest of the world. This program detoxifies the body so a person can then think more clearly. To get more local information about the program, call the Mission.

Scientology Words for October

What is Scientology has a glossary with loads of Scientology terms. Here are a few:

aberration:
a departure from rational thought or behavior. It means basically to err, to make mistakes, or more specifically to have fixed ideas which are not true. The word is also used in its scientific sense. It means departure from a straight line. If a line should go from A to B, then if it is aberrated it would go from A to some other point, to some other point, to some other point, to some other point, to some other point, and finally arrive at B. Taken in this sense, it would also mean the lack of straightness or to see crookedly as, for example, a man sees a horse but thinks he sees an elephant. Aberrated conduct would be wrong conduct, or conduct not supported by reason. When a person has engrams, these tend to deflect what would be his normal ability to perceive truth and bring about an aberrated view of situations which then would cause an aberrated reaction to them. Aberration is opposed to sanity, which would be its opposite. From the Latin, aberrare, to wander from; Latin, ab, away, errare, to wander.

analytical mind: that part of the mind which one consciously uses and is aware of. It is the portion of the mind which thinks, observes data, remembers it and resolves problems.

reactive mind: that part of the mind which works on a totally stimulus-response basis, which is not under a person’s volitional control, and which exerts force and the power of command over his awareness, purposes, thoughts, body and actions.

Update

Hi Everybody-

"Books Make Booms" Executive Directive 25 July 1974

The Boulder Mission book selling team just wrapped up a weekend at the Boulder Hometown Fair, selling books and doing stress tests. Dan Pino, Steve Marshall, Steve Lassman, and Robert Anderson regularly go out on the Pearl Street Mall to show people what help is available. Brisk book sales on the street plus the release of the new BASICS have sent the Mission's Gross Book Sales into a whole new range of affluence.
Mission Holder Robert Anderson says:
"Right now the Mission is very involved in getting each and everyone their BASICS. This is the most important program the Mission is doing at this time as it has the potential for the biggest expansion ever.
In the recent weeks since the release the Mission has had its highest ever book sales and, in fact, the range of sales remains at a very high level.
We will shortly be delivering the new BASICS courses and our next plan is to have everyone on course that we can. As I said before, this program will make the biggest difference in expansion not only internationally but locally as well.
Since the start of these book sales we already have 4 people who have called or walked in and are now starting on course. If you don't have your BASICS, you should. And get on course so you can have this data to use in your life. It will make a world of difference."

Recent Completions:
Jonna S: The Success Through Communication Course
Andrea A: Overcoming the Ups and Downs in Life Course
Leif B: The Professional Upper Indoc TRs Course at the Denver Org
Ruth M: L11 at Flag Service Org
Paul M: The Executive Rundown at Flag Service Org

"To use the best I know of Scientology to the best of my ability to help my family, friends, groups and the world." Code of a Scientologist #2
Lots of people in the Boulder field are helping to make a difference:

-Claudio C is putting together a new website for the Mission.
-Ann S continues to help the Mission with Central Files and bulk mails.
-Gail C helps with Central Files, bulk mails and various projects.
-Leif B helps hold the Hubbard Executive Secretary's post while she's gone and helps in the course room.
-Sandy C is an on-call consultant for Applied Scholastics Schools and the Association for Better Living, is helping with the Denver Org Basics programs and is contributing to the establishment of a new Narconon in Ft Collins.
-Valerie B helps with Treasury filing and maintaining the Boulder Mission
blog
-Cathy K is remodeling areas of the Mission as well as holding Treasury functions and helping with the Asian Expansion Project.
-Chad K is the volunteer Mission computer guru and part-time painter.

There are all sorts of ways that you can contribute to the expansion of Scientology in the Boulder area. Need some ideas? Call Dawn and she can help you find a niche that fits.

VMs needed in Peru:
From the Peruvian VM I/C:
We are organizing the town to restore its basic functions and activities. This is done with LRH admin tech, assists, group processing, organizing of distribution of food and tents for people to live in, and hundreds of other actions.
Additionally to that, we are training 20 local people as VMs that will be the VM Group that will stay in Peru after we leave so that they can disseminate LRH tech and reach the rest of the country. Your contribution will make a difference. We need to cover a lot of logistics, from bringing in VMs from all over the world to providing their food, housing, transportation, etc.
This is our chance to give Scientology a solid foundation in this country! Again, your help is needed.
